Animal Rights Protest

Colourful First Steps

On August 20, 2023, Sabine “Bine” Krist and Alexandra S. Aderhold organized their first animal rights protest in vibrant lingerie in Berlin. Stretching from the Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie, this event served as a rallying cry for the fundamental rights of other sentient beings. The protestors carried homemade signs in both English and German, shedding light on speciesism through megaphones, and generating a lively atmosphere that centered around the group's message of animal rights. The bright and eye-catching outfits, along with the colorful signs, prompted many photos to be taken, and questions being asked. Curious passersby approached the activists, eager to learn more about the themes of animal rights and ethics, receiving flyers and info cards shedding light on the issue of animal exploitation. Remarkably, a handful of individuals were so moved by the arguments put forth that they made the decision to embrace a vegan lifestyle right then and there. What a successful protest!

The second protest is already in the works and promises to be even more vibrant and impactful. All the photographs were taken by Alexandra S. Aderhold, capturing the essence of this event.
